Chinese Traditional Medicine Practitioner, Kim Cooper, is happy to talk with you about your health concerns and discuss how ancient therapies have very modern applications.
Below are different areas of expertise that we have to offer.
Please note that there is no need to select one of these services in order to make an appointment. Each patient is treated according to their own health needs, with no prior knowledge of Chinese Medicine required.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Some techniques use fine, hair-like needles and some do not. After an assessment and discussion of symptoms with the patient, the practitioner may work on acupoints along the meridians of the body. Acupuncture restores proper circulation through the meridians, thus eliminating the cause of disease. This is always done as part of a discussion with the patient about what they are comfortable with.

Tui Na
Tui Na is a Chinese therapeutic massage that involves pressing, kneading, and stretching muscles and joints to promote healing and relaxation.

Gua sha
Gua sha is a traditional healing technique in which specific hand tools are used to stimulate the skin to relieve muscular tension.

Cupping
Cupping is the ancient technique of using suction cups on areas of the body to promote detoxification, circulation of blood and to relieve tension in the muscles and tendons.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese Medicine is founded on the belief that the earth has a bounty for us to harvest and benefit from. We have a strong connection to what the land produces, and therefore to the land itself.
Chinese Medicine Practitioners select from hundreds of herbs to create custom medicines for each patient. Some of these herbs are require the extensive knowledge of the practitioner to be used appropriately, and therefore are classified as Medical Grade.
